Points Consulting, in collaboration with Nexus Planning Services, conducted a survey for the city of Quincy, Washington to determine support for the formation of a Regional Parks District among Quincy residents, as well as the proposed construction of a new sports and aquatic complex. The survey was distributed to the Quincy area in both Spanish and English, and was taken by almost 12% of the adult population of the city. Our team employed a variety of distribution methods, including:
• a text-based surveying tool, Public Input.com, to reach residents via cell-phone
• radio, social media, and newspaper ads
• on-site presence at key community events to propagate flyers and survey awareness throughout the City
The survey not only served to inform city leaders on public perception of the proposition, but also provided more information to the public about the project. The proposition passed after being put to a vote November 7, 2023, and the city of Quincy will move forward with the next steps in constructing the new recreation facilities for the community.
